California State University, Sacramento (Sac State) Target GPA Calculator
Find the GPA you need next semester to reach your target CGPA. Uses California State University, Sacramento (Sac State)'s official California State University, Sacramento (Sac State) Grading System (0.0–4.0 scale).
How is this calculated?
The required semester GPA is the average GPA you'd need across all upcoming credit hours so that your weighted cumulative GPA reaches your target:
required = (target × (earned + upcoming) − current × earned) / upcoming
Example: with a 3.20 CGPA over 60 credits, taking 15 credits next semester, to reach a 3.40 target you'd need a 4.20 semester GPA — not reachable on a 4.00 scale, so you'd plan for more semesters or a higher credit load.
